Looking for freelancer writers
I am currently looking for freelancers who are interested in writing for The Swing. [At this time, I do not need any artists, please feel free to drop me a line anyways and as soon as these projects get to the art phase I will contact you.] Our needs currently revolve around publishing new materials for The Swing; adventures, supplements and settings.
A partial list of projects in progress that needs additional help:
Expanded Weapons Guide - Hundreds of new weapons and ammo combinations
Enlightenment Guide - A Guide to those beings we call the Enlightened Ones. Who they are, what they want, and how they get it. Included will be an expanded history of their affairs.
Advanced Magick Systems - New Magick Skills, including Shamanism and Healing. Tons of new spells and effects. More on True Magick and its possibilities.
Job Fair - Hundreds of new career's to choose from. Plus 100's of new backgrounds, Gifts, Obstacles and Tangibles
Science and Technology - For those player who wish to trend with the Mechanists.
I am willing to offer other incentives to gather writers, such as 50% of profit royalty payments. However, I want to work personally with each writer.
All of these products will be released as both POD and PDF. The PDF's alone will probably be around $7 for the job and firearms, and $10 for the others, this would give around $2.50 - $3.50 at 50% profit. I expect around 100 copies each for the first year in PDF sales. That amounts to $250 - $350 for the first year. This does not even factor in the print sales.
Anyone wanting to write for The Swing, will obviously need a copy of the game (if you do not already have one). I am willing to let potential freelancers have both the Printed copy and an updated PDF version for only $10.00 US. This includes shipping anywhere in the contenital US. For overseas people I will have to look it up and see. Anyone wanted this let me know.
Please email me and explain which project you would be willing to work on. Include who you are and why you would like to work on that project(s). There is no need to provide a sample of work until asked.

May I ask, for those of us who would prefer a flat rate, rather than a cut of profits in the future... what would the general per word value of your payments be?

That would be something I would discuss with each writer individually. While it is an option, it is not one that can be offered to everyone. I am sure everyone's heard the story be now about small time publishers and their bank roll. Well, it's true.
Even if the writer is someone whom I would consider flat rating, it would only be $.02 per word max or $1 per entry (for books like guns and jobs).
But I am willing to discuss each option available with the writers to work out an amicable partnership.
