Hi,
I'm very cheap and I'm wondering if anybody looking at this is giving up 5% of their RPGNow sales to be in the Gold Vendor Program. If so, is it worth it?

I highly recommend going with Gold Vendor. The mailing tools are well worth it.

I agree with Phil, the mailing tools are well worth it. I use the comp copy sending tool for all my reviews. Its simple and lets me track when they have downloaded it. The MOTD service also helps to give exposure, a small amount but any amount counts.
All not bad for only an extra .05 cents on the dollar.
