Version 0.9.8 of the Archena Role-Playing Game system play-test has been released.

Changes include,
* Document optimized for black-and-white laser printers.
* Yruk and Baellik stat gen added.
* Kazak blessed hamagrim power added.
* Mear shade power added.
* Yruk amphibian/swim mod added.
* Westai and Khet-zelkalmeri powers fixed.
* Stats and aging topic added.
* Several advanced combat rules optimized.
* Bookmarks and links updated.

Next major update will include a ready-to-run adventure and additional race powers.

The core system open play test for Archena Role-Playing will end on August 13, 2004. The core system may be unavailable for download before this date. Notices of updates to the core system will be emailed to play testers as they become available. If you would like to become a play tester, please email me at playtest@16cbh.net.

Thanks to everyone who participated in the open play test and to those who took the time to send us your comments. We greatly appreciate your enthusiasm!

As a side note, a "light" version of the Archena system will appear in the upcoming Battleaxe RPG which will be published in September of this year. We haven't ironed out all the details, but I'm fairly certain that the first iteration of this game (all 150 pages or so) will be delivered as a FREE download of a .pdf formatted for your computer screen. More details will be posted at www.16cbh.net next week.
