I come to the Forge for the quality of the forums.  I'll admit that often I post things that aren't the most clear, or well written pieces, but I try to ask questions concerning roleplaying issues on my mind.  Mostly, I try to post questions, clarifications, examples, or a connection between the topic on hand and another.  I also understand the need for debate, so long as it serves a purpose in clarifying the topic on hand.  But recently it's getting a little out of hand, in terms of "you said, I said".

I don't think there's anything any one person can do, but I'd like to just remind folks why we came HERE.  And that's to study, analyze and discuss roleplaying games.  Not to study, analyze, and discuss each others arguments or to debate.

I hope I'm not alone in this feeling, and I'm just giving a friendly reminder so that we can stay focused on the subject at hand.  There was a thread earlier about LOTR, and I think that has some similar viewpoints put forth about staying on thread.
