Looks like a good group-- your players sketched strong and unique dogs.
What made you decide to escalate the last opening conflict? Were you thinking "demon" before the dog got to the man, or was that something that developed on the spot? Also, any reason you made 8 the fallout number for death-- because he was so frail, or because it was all d4s for fallout (just talking), or something else?
Hope your dogs get a chance to judge some towns and strut their stuff. I'll be looking forward to their actual play.

Exactly! Before it was sick man being influenced. When it was obvious to the infernal that the Dog was bringing the fight to the demon spiritually, there was a last ditch supernatural move. Also what I liked about this was that the more dice I rolled, the more fallout was likely to occur so it may very well have played out that the additional demonic influence would have driven the body to die based on the stakes.

I was going off the idea that a fallout total of 8+ is permanent and less than 8 is temporary fallout. Since the issue was "would the old man survive the spiritual battle over his body" I figured this would be a good way to administrate whether his condition would be "permanent" or not.

Me too. I think we're playing Sunday. ::crosses fingers:: The cool thing is that there is a lot of possible pride/sin in the town itself so I figure they're going to head out and take care of a town or two and always have some issue to come home to :D
