this plea will probably fall upon deaf ears, however, i have written dark fantasy influenced by H. P. Lovecraft and demonology... and i need feedback.  if anyone could playtest this game and give it a whirl (and soon!), i would be grateful.

Empire of Satanis will debut at the Cthulhu Mythos convention this spring.  check out the link for details:  http://www.darkmusicdomain.com/cthulhu.html

i'm very pleased with it and i'm also having a website built for EoS.  the site will be completed in a month and i would like this game perfected by then.  email me at:  darrick3909@yahoo.com  and i will happily reply back with the attached document.

thanks in advance, Darrick Dishaw

hey guys, just wanted to let people know about an interview of me, Cthulhu One, and Empire of Satanis that just appeared in the Dunwich Herald e-magazine.  it's under 'mythos in madison' and can be found here:   http://home.comcast.net/~esox99/

the updated EoS game has a link in the interview too.  check it out.
thanks, D

Empire of Satanis

The Black Gods crawl upon their snake-like bellies slurping the ichor of the chosen one.

The thundering crash of dueling void sabers erupts over the ominous chanting of a grotto’s dark sabbath.  Two bestial lords, inhuman, grotesque, and satanic slash at each other with blades of chartreuse magical energy from the void itself.  A masked onlooker in yellow robes casts a spell as the ululation of strange tribal demons produces yet more sorcery!

Slowly the gelatinous, chattering, translucent, viscous, slime drenched, unholy, bilious green monstrosity withdraws from the cyclopean, nightmare city of Frier.  It peers into the decayed walls of "reality", fatigued by its vile sorcery.  Alone and unobserved, except for his sword wielding companions, the demonic entity effects an unnamable change upon the universe beyond the Empire of Satanis the Black God!

Now imagine the creature described above is You...

---- this is a little bit from my original, lovecraftian RPG:  Empire of Satanis

i'm probably going to self-publish this (if i can't find a game publisher) and provide it on my upcoming website:  www.CultofCthulhu.net  if your interested in any kind of opportunity with this game, let me know.

thanks, Darrick

Hey Darrick,

...influenced by H. P. Lovecraft and demonology...

Can I ask how derived the game is from Lovecraft canon? You don't have a license agreement with the Lovecraft estate, so your creature and place names and stuff are all original to you, right?

And if you're doing anything with your Acts of Evil ashcan license, of course I'm curious and would love to hear about your plans

Yes, all the Gods, creatures, places, things, etc. are my own original work.  They are lovecraftian in nature meaning that they are evil, alien, inhuman, and outside our universe and natural laws.  i also like to incorporate H. P. Lovecraft's writing style using lots of descriptive adjectives.  the game also has a cosmic horror/nihilism element that brings out the rich dark fantasy background.  however, that is where the similarity ends.

very soon (2 weeks or so), it will be up on my new website:  www.CultofCthulhu.net

thanks for your interest
