In another thread, Luke said:

Talk to ... Wilhelm (rafael) about his game club in Seattle

I looked up rafael and it doesn't look like he even lives in Seattle. Does anyone know what Luke was talking about? Is there an indie-focused game club in the Seattle area?

It's actually "rafial," not rafael.

Several people who post occasionally on the forge are part of that game group. I was too, until *sigh* I moved to sucky cold windy lame Milwaukee.

It's only sometimes "creator owned" games, though. I think currently one portion is playing Unknown Armies, and for a while Savage Worlds was a big fave.

I think the club they're talking about is the SGA (Seattle Gamers Assemble), which can be found at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/SeattleGAMERS_ASSEMBLE

Monday nights have traditionally been a time for gaming, playing whatever people bring.  Since several Forge-people have been attending regularly (at least when I could still make it last year), there were a lot of indie games being played there (I had a chance to try out Donjon, Paladin, OctaNe, Trollbabe, and TROS and I know Universalis, Elfs and a few others got play).  If you wanted to run something, I'm sure they'd eagerly play whatever it was, but you could certainly ask through the mailing list first.

Though Mondays have turned out to be a bad night for many folks, there is the Thursday night indie-game meeting as well. Check us out!
