I am starting a new project as an open content alternative to the recently released "World's Largest Dungeon." The idea is this: to create a collection of adventures strung together in a choose-your-own-adventure style that will take a party of adventures from level 1 (or a level of the GM's choosing) all the way to level 20 in a non-linear way.
The site will be a Wiki - for the uninitiated a Wiki is a website where every page can be edited by any user - so that adventures and content can be created, playtested, and then edited by and for the users of the site.
The intended 'campaign setting' will be generic so that the only resource needed for play will be the SRD (which is currently included on the site in an easy to browse and easy to reference style) and I intend to keep the general scope of the adventures to a giant, underdark-like dungeon (although forays out of the dungeon will be possible). The goal is to recreate that campy, boxed-fantasy, nostalgic feeling we all get when we play good ol' hack'n'slash.
The mechanics of the site are in a releasable state, but the content is in development. We need artists to help us design a logo, editors to help proofread and organize content, adventure writers to well... write adventures, and of course - playertesters. Not to mention, since this is a foray into a new type of roleplaying resource, general support of the site and the idea would be greatly appreciated.
