As of today, Fate: Fantastic Adventures in Tabletop Entertainment, is available under the Open Gaming License.

You can download the SRD here:

Thanks, it looks pretty good (though nowhere near as pretty as the PDF, of course).

You mentioned looking at releasing it for a while-- what made you decide to use the WOTC OGL?

Idly curious,
Scott

Ann Dupuis of Grey Ghost Games, and the publisher of Fudge, semi-formally released Fudge under the OGL.

So it kind of made the decision for us.

Today, Ann made it official that Fudge is under the OGL ... it had been hemi-demi official for a while before, but this seals it.

I have reformatted the SRD into reStructuredText, which is a plain-ascii format with goals similar to many Wiki markup systems.  The "source text" looks like a nicely formatted document, and the resulting HTML or PDF or what-have-you matches the basic layout of the original.

It is my hope that this could become the base document for future "hacks" or other derived works based on the Fate SRD, since everyone can read and write plain ASCII text.

The reST document, along with HTML and PDF versions, is up at http://zork.net/~nick/loyhargil/fate-srd-rest/.

Thanks again to everyone who made this possible!
