It's no big deal. I'm just making some hardcover copies of the game.
There is only one release of TSOY and it's the one at GenCon this year, called "The Shadow of Yesterday 2005." Yes, it's different from the one before - first off, it's thick, but part of that is I actually used some white space.
I get my hardcover proof on Monday. We'll see how it looks. 6"x9" hardcover at 0.53" thick should be a nice book to hold, though.

Sounds like a slick format, Clinton.

Man, you totally should have mentioned that in your "would you pay dollahs to get a second copy of this game" survey. I'm slightly more interested now.

Larry: Cool!
There's only 24 of them being printed for GenCon. (Maybe more later - depends. They're expensive, and not cost-effective.) Two are taken. So, that's the deal with them. I'm not taking pre-orders or anything, at least not until I see one myself on Monday.

Clinton,
Are we talking glossy artwork printed on the covers, or Sorcerer-style dust jacket?
In any case, let me know how the proof looks!

It is a thing of transcendent beauty. It exceeded my expectations and as I flip through it right now, I feel warm inside. It's what TSOY should have looked like.
I will say no more.

This Hardcover is something that I would pay big bucks to get shipped to Japan. BIG bucks.
If there is any way I could get you to do so, let me know!

So totally willing to pony up cash, but not as much cash as it would take to truck down to GenCon.
For those of us heretics who won't be making it to GenCon, how can we get one of these slick hardcovers? We had a lot of fun with the game in the one session we got to play, and a pretty book would be nice to complement it.
