The Other is ready for a first playtest.  It's inspired by movies like V, The Thing, and Invasion of the Body Snatchers --to name but a few.  Anything with a doppelganger that stalks the characters.  The central theme of the game is the trust between characters and how it's tested by the fact that something horrible walks (or may walk) among them, and how that fluxuating trust affects the group's ability to defend itself, etc.

Here are some minor clarifications.  That about does it aside from the suggested scenarios which I still have to write.

Character death
Only the Other does not kill.  After all, its goal is to take over by assimilating a character’s DNA.  Thus, characters do not actually* die; if they are not infected the most that can happen to them is to be grievously wounded.  Common sense is your guide, but any living character should still be allowed a chance to fight and survive.

*Note: Even if an Other sticks its razor sharp tentacles through a character’s guts, that character is either going to be grievously wounded or infected.  Either way, the player is still in the game.

GMs: Weapons & supplies
There will undoubtedly be some supplies stored in lockers or depots within the immediate area.  Reloads for weapons will always be encountered as full-loads per weapon type.  For example, a box of shotgun rounds would contain 8-rounds; or 16-rounds; or 24-rounds.  Replacement weapons will likewise be already fully loaded.  The only exceptions to this rule would be discarded ammo or weapons.

Supplies like barrels of fuel, power tools, fire extinguishers and other supplies should also be available for the characters to use.

Weapon damage
As described for each.  There are no “hit-points” to worry about.
