How To Advertise?

I've got this game on the way, or so I've been told.. and I have a question. The gamer/friends of mine are all on a mailing list. This mailing list seems to be the way to generate interest and the like..
So.. how do I tease them with this game? I've not played it.. so.. how would I sell it to them?
