I have a small problem that I'm hoping one of you folks will be able to assist me with.

I have a PDF of a character sheet for Legends of Alyria, plus the original TIF.  It is currently 8 1/2" x 11".  I'd like to resize it to 6.5" x 10".  The methods at my disposal currently are messing with the resolution of the sheet.  Can anyone get this thing to resize for me without losing resolution?  Just drop me a PM if you think that you can help.

Thanks!

Why'd you lose resolution if you're making the dimensions smaller? I should think that resampling artefacts would be the only problem, and those only if you insist on keeping the resolution the same instead of heightening it. If a higher resolution won't be a problem, you should be able to redefine the picture's size with most graphics programs (modify picture size, but uncheck any resampling, so the program just raises the resolution to fit the dimensions you want).

... There's only so much that can be done with a picture file (as opposed to something laid out or done in a vector graphics program), but if you're not in a hurry I can look at it next week, when I come back from Helsinki.

Hi!
what graphics artists do is use a program like Illustrator to "trace" a scan into line art. then it becomes easily scalable. I don't know how to do it, but if you have a friend who is a graphic artsit, it should be a relatively easy job

Eero,

Someone else has offered to trace it in Illustrator, so I'll try that first.  If not, I'll be in touch.

Thanks, everyone!
