Card vs Dice mechanic

Matt & PTA'ers,
I just got my copy. Hoorah! Finished reading it in 3 days.
Great book, seems like a great game. I'm psyched to run it.
I would've liked the dice mechanisms to be in the new edition, maybe in 'optional rules' or something. I would prefer using dice vs cards. Just a personal thing. Any 'optional rules' posted out there?
PEACE

I came up with a domino-based mechanic, because I hate ties.
Basically, it works exactly the same as the standard game, except you get dominoes instead of cards or dice. Each domino represents one or two numbers - the 4:1 can be 41 or 14, the 6:2 can be 26 or 62, while the 3:3 is always 33. Whoever has the highest number wins, and whoever has the lowest number narrates. You can use the same domino twice; if you have the 4:1 and I have the 3:3, then you win the conflict (41 is higher than 33) and narration rights (because 14 is lower than 33).

The cards work way better than the dice for PTA. It allows for more flexibility, you can do cool chases or slow reveals, and it is easy to keep track of fan mail returning to the GM. I think if you try it you'll like it.
