Indie Efforts at JenCon 16 (May 4-6, IA)... Stymied?

Hello good sirs and ladies:
I will be demoing some of my games at a small convention located between Iowa City and Cedar Rapids.
International Cooking Challenge
,
The Ballad of Saucy Jack
, and
The Fortieth Annual Subcommittee for the Preservation of Planet Earth
are all on the menu. Several other non-Forge types will be presenting their creations as well. While our games run the gamut from bordering-on-freeform to plenty crunchy, one thing binds the contributors to this indie gaming track: we're pretty new at this.
The initial plan was to have a special guest/guest speaker on hand to talk about the realities of game design and how it influenced their work (or vice versa.) Unfortunately, our two prospects have fallen through. Anybody who is interested in the position is invited to e-mail me for further information at: z-welhouse at cornellcollege.edu.
Having read the appropriate Forge topics on guest management, Jen-Con is prepared to be a quality host. While our speaker budget is small, it is backed by a gang of people who are dedicated to making this work.
The
schedule
explains the available games in further detail.

Intergalactic Cooking Challenge
is pretty slick. Also of note is the
sample size

Even without a speaker, Jencon proceeded as hoped.
MLX
,
Intergalactic Cooking Challenge
,
Snakes on a Plane
, and
The Gentlemen's Entomology Club
all made large enough marks to distinguish themselves among the larger games. I'm impressed, and looking forward to any future gatherings.
