Hi, my name is John and I have been a lurker on these forums for a while now. I'm just plugging a site that some people might find useful.

I really rely on my friends to educate me in the indie RPG world. They suggest new games and interesting threads on various forums. Without them I never would have discovered some amazing games, sites, and er, 'new points of view'. Despite that the information is all out there, I still would not have found it by myself (some might say I'm too 'lazy' to look properly, but I'd argue I was too 'busy' ;-).

I've also just discovered pligg, which is an open source version of digg.com. Most people know what digg is, but on the off chance someone doesn't: it is a technology website where users submit stories for review, but rather than allowing an editor to decide which stories go on the homepage, the users do by 'digging' (voting) on their favorite stories.

Hence http://rpgg.shroovy.com. In short it is a RPG news/links website with a focus on indie and alternative role-playing games (and good humour of course). If you are like me and like being spoon fed links to the good stuff you might find it useful. If you are like some of my indie rpg friends and like to 'spread the good word' and 'broaden minds' it could be good for that too (I'm always keen for new advice on things to check out for a start :).

At the moment it just mostly just some of my favorite links, and its still beta (although I think it is pretty stable - PM me if you have any problems), but feel free to check it out, and if it turns out to be useful even better.

Cheers,
John
