[DitV] I should stop getting my friends shot

...Because this most recent time, it was scary.
They both lived, but if there hadn't been a big, excellent midwife nearby they'd both be dead now, and it'd be all on me. As it is, they lived because of her, and that's on me instead.
Fuck, man. Playing brinksman with shooting people is fun, heady, thrilling. Playing brinksman with saving your fellow Dogs' lives is frantic.
What's funny is, when I got shot and it was one of them in conflict to save my life, I was chill. I didn't want to die, of course, but Still. Nobody made me take that blow but me, if it kills me that'd be a pisser but I wouldn't blame Sister Rosaria of all people. But now I'm the one trying to save their lives, and who cares how chill they might or might not be. Those dice were in my hand, I'm the one taking blows like "Sister Rosaria coughs spastically and splatters blood all over you" because those dice came up low. Meg and Julia might not blame me, but
I do
.
Good stuff.

I'll be especially interested in that session, one day, in which you, personally, decide that it's OK with you to see one of the other player's Dogs die. When the dice are in your hands.
Best, Ron

That is a nice, hard core edge.
Wonder what it's like on the other side.

Evil: You'll never find out, if you never decide it's okay to let them die...

Awww, don't be so hard on yerself. I don't blame you. I have resolved not to get shot anymore. For me (Julia) lesson learned:
Draw First
, and ignore the voice of reason (Sr. Rosario) if she says otherwise. It did make for some nail-biting suspense, and I ended up staying up way too late debriefing with Chris.

Julia! Hey.
It's okay. Faced with the realities of ... oh, I dunno ... Mr. Fipple, for instance, I fully expect to get you all shot again. I'll have to learn to live with myself.

I would totally have been ok if I had died. I was totally at peace with Sr. Rosario's actions.
Julia: debriefing? The good 'OMG, it was so cool' kind I hope. Not the 'Man, that sucked and I'm not sure I want to keep playing' kind.

Totally the good! I would have been a little bummed if Jed had died, but not so bummed that I wouldn't want to play any more. I think it would have been appropriate.
