You mentioned in the RPGnet thread that the Sorcery supplement will contain rules for magic items. Can you discuss a little bit how that's going to work? I'm hoping it'll be tilted more toward really special things like Excalibur and Stormbringer, rather than... well, anythind in D&D.

Somehow, I think your hopes will be satisfied.

Call me crazy, but I don't see tons of swords+1 and magic arrows in tROS.

Oh, and I'm not speaking For Jake.  I'm just agreeing with you that magic items, like sorcery, should be rare and powerful.

hmm... or at least rare.  I've often liked the idea of items and places being able to get an enchantment of some kind over time if its significant enough.  You know... This Hero's sword, or that battlefield... once upon a time they were purely mundane.  But not any more.

In either case, I think many people would agree D&D style magic items wouldn't exactly fit.
