This sort of question puts me in an awkward position: I make games because I like making them, and the fact that people buy them is a side-effect. However, it's a side-effect that lets me keep doing it. So I can't be flippant, and I am glad that you're interested in the sort of ideas that bubble up from me. But I bet you have ideas, too, and some of them happen and some don't. I wanted to learn to parachute once, and I never did. Riptide is like that - a dream passing in the night, and if I ever revisit it, it's not because I have game lines or official plans, or even projects, but because it seemed like a good idea that day.
