Possible bug

Ran into a problem when trying to follow the Sorcerer Forum link from the Sorcerer web page.

First, the Sorcerer Forum link goes to the Forge Forums directory, not to the Sorcerer Forum itself (which may or may not be intentional)

The problem was that once I did this, the Forge refused to recognize me and refused to allow me to log in, despite refreshing several times.

I finally had to delete all my Forge cookies and start again, and now its working fine.

Not sure what caused that, but I remember others having trouble staying logged in, and was thinking that may have been from the same problem...if they'd followed the Sorcerer link over.

Valamir,

Given that you also reported problems with the Sorcerer site, the ultimate problem may be that your browser was hosed at the time.  If you're connecting from a Windows machine I'd recommend a reboot and see if the problems can be replicated. If you're on a UNIX machine I'd try logging on then trying again.  Macs, of course, are perfect, so you wouldn't be having any problem from one of them.

Not sure I follow you Clay.  I didn't have problem with the Sorcerer site (other than mentioning elsewhere that the search function didn't seem to be delivering anything to me);  unless you mean the link I followed.  Is the link supposed to go right to the Sorcerer Forum itself and not just to the Forge (is that how it works for other folks?)

Clay

I'm pretty sure that it doesn't go straight to the Sorcerer forum. At one time it did, but I've noticed that Sorcerer has a habit of hoping around a little bit. As to your problem with the search function, you should see my response in the Adept Press forum; you were plagued by a problem with your browser or something screwy in your data entry (possibly characters that appeared in the form but not on the screen).

Hey,

This issue needs to be taken to a different venue. I'm sure Clinton is looking into the Forge end, and I will now look into the Sorcerer end. That latter is a Clay & Me issue.

Ralph, thanks for letting us know about the hassle, and we're on it. Clay, please contact me.

Best,
Ron
