Author Topic: Review Request: Amalgam: A Diceless Roleplaying System  (Read 594 times)

Hello everyone. I'm looking for people who would be willing to review or comment on Amalgam: A Diceless Roleplaying System.

Amalgam's fairly unique in that character creation consists of picking 10 different words to describe who they are; that's it. If you want to be fancy, you can pick up to three disadvantageous words, and get an additional standard word for each one. At any given time, only 5 of your words can be at your disposal. To resolve actions, appropriate active words are added up with modifiers plus a random number (determined by finger flicking or the roll of a d6) and compared to a calculated difficulty. With a few exceptions and special cases, that's pretty much the base mechanic for the entire system.

It's free (as in beer) to download from RogueLeaf Games' website:

http://games.RogueLeaf.com/amalgam/

And I would appreciate any comments or reviews posted to the following page in the comments section:

Furthermore, if you're in the Princeton NJ area, the weekly playtest happens on Saturdays during the Simulation Games Union meeting in the Frist Campus Center Room 210 from noon until 5PM.

If there are any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to leave me a note here, and I'll get to them as soon as possible. :-)

Peace,
--
