Author Topic: GenCon accomodations? Looking for space  (Read 976 times)

So I have rotten luck with GenCon. For the second year in a row, my arrangements for accommodations have fallen through thanks to employment woes on the part of the people I was going to be rooming with. (At least that's last year when I got told I couldn't stay in the room because I was *a girl*.)

I realize this is very late, but does anyone have a bit of floor they'd be willing to rent in their room? I am totally happy to sleep in closets or bathtubs - I've done it before. I am totally happy to pay a share of the room and not get a bed.

Thanks,

We have a room at a hotel near the airport. "We" is me and my two brothers. Here are the disadvantages:
  • It's not near downtown, so need a ride to get to the convention. We'll figure out a solution for that, though; might be a rented car so we can ride on our own schedule.
  • The room's for four people, but it seems to be two 2-person beds, which might not be comfortable. Floor's an option, of course.
  • My brother Markku snores like a chainsaw. Really. I strongly recommend ear plugs.
The advantages include affordable cost and, arguably, nice company. Let me know if you find nothing better; I wouldn't mind having a fourth person share the costs.

Eero: Thanks! I'm in the middle of moving, so I'll get back to you on that when I have a moment to assess my options.

Again, thank you!
