What happens when you work in a software design department and you start getting your coworkers interested in the Riddle of Steel?

One of them writes a much improved version of the dice roller program overnight (I had sent him to the website and he got so frustrated by the existing program he just had to rewrite it).  Does anyone use the thing, and would you be interested if we sent it to Jake when he gets back?

The other plus side is that I now have someone to help finish up the tRoS character generator I've been working on.

I'd be interested. Though, to be honest, I'd be more interested if it was for Palm OS. My current group (2 short now that the younger fellows have gone on missions) all have Palms, and we've found that for lots of games it makes things much faster and easier. TROS would, I think, be one of those. (Though not so much as HERO and Godlike.)

I dunno... just doesn't seem as much fun as grabbing that handful of dice and tossing it down. Especially not if it means you have to have a laptop or desktop at the rpg table.

Now, if it was WinCE or PalmOS it might be more useful, but I still don't think I would use one.

As for character generators, hmm, well, in my spare time I kind of knocked one up. It's about 80% complete and the idea is that it prints out fully populated character sheets or exports into my combat sim. I have not had the time to devote to prettying it up however, and likely wont with the new work I'll be starting on the combat sim AI and IP matchmaking soon, so it may never get finished to a "give to Jake" stage.

I'm sure Jake would be interested in your roller, particularly if it's specifically for tRoS instead of a generic one like the one on the page.
