Hi,

We have a gaming group in Los Angeles that's primarily dedicated to design & play-testing of indie rpgs. We have 3 regular participants and looking for one or a few new members so that we don't have to cancel sessions when one of us can't make it. The ideal person would be enthusiastic about trying and play-testing an eclectic range of games in different stages of the design process; like indie games; and be able to give and receive creative criticism. It would be great if you are working on your own designs but that's not a requirement.

Over the two years that we've been meeting, the group has spent maybe 50% of our time play-testing games designed by members of the group; another 30% of the time running short (one to three session) games of published indie rpgs; 10% play-testing unpublished games written by other designers; and 10% taking a break from rpgs and playing board games. Three of the games that our members have written and that we've helped playtest have been published and more probably will be within the next year.

we currently meet thursday evenings in Eagle Rock (in between downtown LA and Pasadena) and may have some flexibility on the where/when. Because we tend to play one shots or short series rather than ongoing campaigns, if you can make 2-3 sessions a month it could still be a good fit.
