I've been asked to get a vendor booth at this year's CyberCon and to run games there. Since this is an on-line game convention and I've never tried to sell stuff at one, I was wondering if someone who had a "booth" at the last one could tell me what to expect.

Michael;

Apophis got a booth at one of the CyberCons, and, apparently, someone was running some Obsidian (the company had nothing to do with that).  It has been my experience that it did very little in terms of productive inflow to our coffers or website.

This is not to say it has no benefit... just that I haven't quite sussed out what that benefit might actually be.

My advice:  if it's free, take it.  If not, don't.  At best, donate a couple copies for prizes and rewards for thei grab-bags and giveaways.
