I have a question.  KOTR is online and I have had some great response in a little over one week.  My question arises from my PDF clients.

Is there a way to automate an email response to PDF buyers sending the URL out as soon as PayPal receives the payment.  As it stands, I am checking email and trying to get back as quickly as possible, but there may be a slight time lag.

Anyone who knows, let this newbie web publisher in on the script secret.

PS- All the folks who ordered KOTR hardcopies, they are in the mail as of this evening and tomorrow.

Aaron,

There certainly is a way. Check out http://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=p/xcl/rec/ipn-intro-outside. It's super-technical, though.

It does have some sample scripts which should work for you. If you need any help with them, let me know, and I'll help you fix them for your needs.

I know this is off-topic but what is KOTR?  If it's a game you're selling, you should probably put the full title along with a brief description and URL in every post that you mention it (if not every post).

KOTR is Knights of the Road, Knights of the Rail.
It is a game set in 1930s Depression-Era America where players take on the role of hoboes, tramps and wanderers.

I need to update my profile to include all this

edit: oh, and the big thing is thank you Clinton, thank you a heap.
