Nothing serious, more amusement actually. Something I just noticed.

The Riddle of Steel forum is now the most posted-to independent forum on the Forge, it's even surpassed the Adept Press one (well, they have more topics, but we have a far greater number of actual posts). And Adept Press covers several games too, while TROS is only about the one, which doesn't even have any suppliments out (yet...)

On top of that, this forum is the 4th most posted-to forum on the forge, period, even including the actual Indie forums. The only ones more visited are Indie Game Design, RPG Theory and Actual Play (and it's VERY close in the case of Actual play, like only about 200 posts difference).

If that doesn't make you feel good, Jake, then nothing will. :-)

You the man, man.

Brian.

Don't let Ron hear...last time we started saying this stuff he threatened my wife, kids, family, pet, house, and career...

;-)

Jake

ps: And for the record, I feel pretty good.

One of the things that was mentioned a lot here while the TROS forum was young was how good this RPG is as a 'gateway' to a lot of what Ron and the rest of the Forge people talk about.  All one needs to do is read Ron's review of TROS to see what he calls a narrative shift.

In this light, the business of the TROS forum is rather understandable, but not any less cool.

Yes I'm proud to contribute to "Simulationist Drift", but luckily people who don't want it can just not use it.

Hmmm...maybe that's why I named the company Driftwood...

Okay, bad pun. Sneaking out before someone throws something

Out of curiousity why did you?...seems a rather odd selection for a company based in the middle of a desert ;-)

Um...well...

The "wood" comes from my name. The "drift" comes from the histories of me and Rick McCann, both military kids, both "drifted" all through our lives from place to place. The name just seemed right to me.

In addition to bringing people into the Forge from outside, TROS does interest us who were already here. We too contribute to the post total. :-)

closed mouths also make for a rather quiet forums :-)

besides, the occasional foot-in-mouth isn't too bad, as long as one owns up to it, and then everyone moves on. *shrug*

Hey, your mouth is in no danger from fungal infection. Just tooting our own horn here, too. :-)
