I just finished reading Coraline by Neil Gaiman.  This is excellent reading for the Little Fears GM.  It has everything:  a child protagonist, an extension of Closetland, a monster masquerading as a parent, and even a bit of magic.  I'm not recalling if there was any explicit use of Belief Magic, but at the very least there was a Hand-Me-Down.

it came out?

when did that get published?  I remember reading an interveiw with gaimen not too long ago when he was writing that book.  that description scared the hell out of me (the whole parallel dimension/creepy mother bit).

another good book is "Something Wicked this way comes" by Ray Bradbury.
