Donjon Paladins?

Has anyone tried to graft Paladin characters onto the Donjon game engine?  I'm new to this, but it seems like it would take Donjon skill sets to drive the scenario and Paladin attributes to play the characters.  Will my gaming table self-combust if this is attempted?
