I had a couple of questions about the "Boston Irregulars":

1. If only Dark Animus can be used for magic, what is Light Animus used for?

2. Now, doing the "free" powers (talking to the dead, etc.) doesn't stain your soul, which means you don't get any Dark Animus for it, while all other magic gets you a Dark Animus point, right? But do those powers count as magic for "using magic as a last resort"? And what about the strange quality of one's Weapon? Does that count as magic? Does it stain your soul?

Y'know, I think I'm going to do a rewrite of TBI that lists the first two magical effects as "Magic" and the last two as "The Curse." One based on light animus, the other on dark. As it stands, however, the first two do not count as "using magic as a last resort" (and neither does the Weapon) and they do not stain your soul.
