I was thinking of the Dragonslayer. That was an impressive sounding blade. I wonder if they ever got it actually made?
I also considered the Kurgan. I thought it stupid even as a kid, a blade that comes apart... Can we say "snap"? It was impressive in a movie, but if you know anything at all about swords (and I didn't really, even as a kid) you'd know that it has to be solid, all the way into the tang, to be a good blade.

I'm pretty sure they did. They're talking about it as an extant thing on that site I liked to above. That said, I'd like to see more about it if it is.
