So I found some examples of play on the website, but they do not include a Coin by Coin explanantion of mechanically *how* the story was made...

There *are* some examples in the rulebook, but I would like to read some more.

Does anyone have any coin by coin examples of Uni, hopefully a whole session?  Thanks.

We've started an on-line game at
http://www.eschatek.com/tiki/tiki-index.php?page=UniversalisWiki
You can see the Coin by Coin expenses on each person's CoinTracking page. Bold text is an indicator of something bought.
When you go there, go to the Story section, where the links to the scenes are.

Thanks.  It's a little non-intuitive, but thanks.  Any others, especially ones similar to the play examples in the rulebook?

We've got an ongoing game with the indie-netgaming group , played over IRC chat.

We've kept all the old files, so you could look at things like the Character, and Location files and see how they've changed from session 1 to 4 (or whatever we're on now) in relation to the Story going on in the Narration logs. (We don't post the Out of Character channel where all the dice rolling is)

The best bet is to just start playing though. The exact style of what you pay for event and fact-wise will be a matter of group consensus.

You can do things you don't pay for too. Those things are only suggestions ... its like those things are written in pencil, not ink...you can write over them with ink (Spending Coins) and there's no recourse (except straight Coin Challenging).
Sure "Ink" can be blotted out with "correction fluid" (Coins to buy off a Bought Fact), but bought Facts and Events mean they are valued, plus you can Challenge someone disregarding or destroying your Fact and get double for Coin Challenge.

Not sure if anyone else keeps and extensive log of their in-game expenses during play.

Sindyr,

You could always, of course, stop by Indie Net-gaming and make a coin-by-coin example. ;) We've gamed on Sunday before. Anyone interested in stopping by the channel around 7:00 PM CDT for some Universalis?

Hey Nathan,
I probably be free tonight, I'll e-mail later.

I would love to at least watch, maybe even play, though it kind of depends on how my other work is going.  7pm CDT is 5pm PDT right?

Not sure exactly. Whatever, we're there now - me and Bob and Josh. Sindyr, and anyone else who wants to come, we're on IRC: irc.magicstar.net in the #indierpgs and #indie_ooc channels.

Sindyr

OK, I am not always on, but I have logged into those channels...

Hopefully my irc client will log your next game...

Is there an ETA on that?

We played last night.
The logs including coin expenses are on the indie-netgaming file area
