Hey, this is my first time posting to this particular forum, so I apologize is there is something that I should know yet don't.

Anyways, I am interested in buying TROS; however, my local game store owner has been unable to get it. He says that he has been looking to stock it for a few months now, without success, and emails he has sent to the website have bounced back. I was wondering what's up, and how my store owner could go about stocking it.

Your retailer probably has the old .COM address. The new website is http://www.theriddleofsteel.net, but when you click on the "Contact us" link, you get a .com email address. I'm pretty sure I mentioned this once before, but I've emailed the webmaster there again so it should be fixed soon.

Just use a .net instead of .com email address and you'll be fine.

JL,

Tell your FLGS owner to speak to the Tundra Sales Organisation (http://www.tundra-sales-organization.com/) regarding getting the game. There is also a list of distributors at http://www.theriddleofsteel.net/market that he can try.

If all else fails, email Jake (norwood@theriddleofsteel.net, although he's unavailable until Monday) and he can arrange to ship you a copy, but for obvious reasons we would rather that folk got it through their local stores if they can.

Regards,
Brian Leybourne.

Okay, my dealer and I are still having some contact problems. Could someone please post in a reply to this message an email I could use to get in touch with Driftwood Publishing directly. Please, there are many here who want to buy this game.

Hello JL,

This is a frustrating thread and post to read. Let me lay it out to you very carefully.

IF YOU WANT THE GAME THIS INSTANT

Then go to http://www.theriddleofsteel.net/market/ and click the Buy Now button. You will receive a copy of the game in the mail. You have to be registered with Paypal to do this.

IF YOU WANT YOUR STORE TO ORDER THE GAME

1. The store owner can contact any distributor that he normally uses (they are listed at the same URL above), which is how he gets any game. If they don't have copies in their warehouse, they can contact Tundra Sales Organization to get some.

2. He can contact Tundra Sales Organization directly (http://www.tundra-sales-org.com) and order from them.

3. He can use the email norwood@theriddleofsteel.net to contact Driftwood Publishing. Brian posted that five days ago, but you seem to have missed it.

All three of the above options for the store owner are standard procedure for retail game sales. He should not have any problem whatever in carrying any of them out.

Best,
Ron

What's the problem exactly? There is really *no* reason that TROS should be hard to get. We go through all the major distributors and we're available through at least 6 online sources. In addition to that my phone number is on the web site under "about."

I apologize for being a nuisance. To be honet, I myself don't know what specific problems are occuring. What I know is that I called my local gaming store a week ago to ask if TROS could be stocked, and the owner said that he has been trying to get in touch with the publisher for the last two months without success. While I don't know Barry well, I have talked with him enough to know he is not stupid; furthermore, his store is doing fairly well, and most businesses in my neck of the woods aren't, which tells me he's not a fool when it comes to business. So, basically, I'm just trying to do what I can to help him on the basis that I'm nice, helping game store owners is good, and he doens't (to my knowledge) frequent this board. And I did miss the email earlier in the thread. Again, I'm sorry for wasting all of your time, I'm just doing my duty as a member of my local gaming community.

I sent an email to him. He hasn't been trying to get in contact with the publisher, though, because that's me and I'm easy to get a hold of.
