Hello. My friends have coerced me to try (again) to run a RPG this summer. While, yes, we can all sit down and crack books open and such, the  problem is that they want to run this over the 'net and are in a million diferent places (Long Island, Flordia, et. al.) and how the heck do you go over a gaming book virtually and especially since some people are new gamers and don't have the books and years I have.

So I proposed playtesting an indie game. Often in PDFs, the file is available to all and those who cut their teeth on World of Darkness or on D&D can both start out on the same footing.

Hence, is there anyone willing to give a few newbies a shot? I'm looking for something with magic in it and possibly very simple and won't offend anyone..... and someone who won't mind listening to newbies either.

Post here or e-mail me (silentrat00@yahoo.com) and we'll talk, lol.

Hope to hear from you!

Newbies would be ideal for my game, Kathanaksaya.  You can have magic in it if you want, but it's not a requirement.

I'd be interested in finding out how "newbies" reacted to Unsung.

Failing that, there's always Pretender.

Well there is some magic in our game but it's mostly SF, so I don't know if it's the kind of thing yr interested in. Check out the website. If it looks interesting I'd be willing to send you a pdf.  lets me knows...

[OT] Kathanaksaya question

Wicked cool concept, Green. Do a character's Story Points refresh from session to session for longer games, or do you foresee a mechanism whereby additional Story Points are awarded to players for their contribution to each session?

I might fit the bill for you,

Cept you'd have to buy the CD.

What's it got?
Hundreds of weapons cards, monstercards, gamecards.
These can be sent in emails - and help keep the game visually interesting. Text games can get boring - but fighting a Medusa card might be fun.

3d fantasy cards in jpeg form.
Complete game system plus thousands of interesting things on one CD
