Conquest on History Channel

Hi all,
I want to recommend Peter Woodward's show Conquest on the History Channel. Every episode, he trains a bunch of people to recreate a fighting style from the past. I'm not an expert, but his presentation seems pretty authentic and I like his enthusiasm. It reminds me of some of the clips I've seen online from ARMA.

ive heard some of it isnt as accurate as the real thing... but then on a 30 minute show, how accurate you can be, is also based on how much time you have

It's a pretty good show. My favorite episode was "How to defeat heavy armor". In it they showed the use of the pole axe, the mace, warhammer and my favorite the awlspiece, a long spike with handguard mounted to a long haft. Purely a thrusting weapon but one that would be devastating in TROS. (reach: long DV ST+3p ATN 7 DTN 7 +1 damage vs. hard armors).

You mean they didn't cover my personal favorite which is grapple the person, drive them to the ground and then go looking for gaps with your rondel? For shame!
