Hi!

I would like to play on IRC. My nick on EFnet is Sonja and on Undernet and Dalnet is S0nja (with a zero).

Where do you guys meet and hang out or play on IRC?

Peace,

Sonja

Your best bet is to join the "Indie Netgaming" Yahoo group:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/indie-netgaming/

From there you can find out where on IRC we usually play games like Universalis.
love * Eris * RPGs  * Anime * Magick * Carroll * techno * hats * cats * Dada
Kirt "Loki" Dankmyer -- Dance, damn you, dance! -- UNSUNG IS OUT

You might try the indie netgaming list yahoo group which is an email list that has some associated IRC rooms.  Specifically the rooms are #indierpgs (for general chat) #indie_nar and #indie_ooc for the actual games. We try to play a variety of indie (in the Forge sense of the word) games.  I haven't gotten to play Uni on the channel yet, but if you're around, its more likely to happen.

Trevis.

We've played a lot of Universalis on Indie Netgaming, just not of late. I've kinda been itching myself...

BTW, Trevis failed to mention the server, Magicstar.

So I did, Thanks Mike.

And I for one would certainly be interested in playing.

I've been studiously avoiding IRC since 1990 when I went back to college and got my first internet account.  I pretty quickly figured out that getting hooked would be bad and I was already spending four hours per day on Usenet and BITnet mailing lists.  And so, I'm woefully ignorant about this.  But you've broken me.  Does anyone have a pointer to what I need to learn so that I can play Universalis with you guys?  :-)

We can probably take any further discussion of this over to the Indie netgaming group (click the link in my sig.)   But as for what you would need to learn, well, it couldn't hurt to have a copy of the game now, would it?  Seriously, we could probably talk you through it. It ain't tough.

heh.

Oh, I have the game and I've read it cover to cover and reread the grey bits.  I meant I needed to learn IRC.  I'll follow the link in your sig.

Chris.

Oops! Sorry, I didn't understand what you were looking for.  YOu need an IRC program (a 'client') like mIRC.  You might check out somewhere like http://www.newircusers.com for information. Or search it out on the web.
