This isn't a question thread as much as an idea-for-promotion thread.  I recently decided to put up a gallery page separate from my main site so that people can see most of Orbit's artwork + other artwork.

My reasoning is that it would serve [for promo & sales] to make a strong first impression without making visitors wade through pages of game features splattered with art here and there.  They can *see* the setting [in a manner of speaking] and decide if it's something that appeals to them --better than game fiction, or a mission statement IMHO.        

I'm not suggesting art over substance, but art does communicate the flavor of a game better than a genre tag.  And this is important especially for those of us who test the limits of genre, or create new ones, for our games.

I am monitoring the hits and will report both hits and sales [if any] that resulted from passing through the gallery page exactly 30 days from now.
