I just got a letter from RPI and "Alphagraphics", and I know a lot of us around here have used them and intend to use them in the future. So I thought I would post it here, omitting the superfluous pleasantries.

We are very pleased to announce that Alphagraphics has purchased the commercial business division of Reischling Press, Inc. (RPI)

... At Alphagraphics, we are committed to these same business principles as well as servicing a broader portfolio of print materials for our clients to leverage.

Facing off against Captain Ahab, Dr. Fu Manchu, and Prof. Moriarty? Sure!

Passages - Victorian era, literary-based high adventure!

I ... don't know whether to see this as a good or a bad thing.  Mergers are mergers, and it's not necessarily a bad sign, but ... I don't know these new people.

That's pretty much how I felt. I was particularly concerned about the schizophrenic numbered list--didn't know what to make of it.

Holy crap.  This makes me feel insecure.  I loved me some RPI.

Well, to be fair, they're talking about the stuff they're adding to RPI's pre-existing capabilities.  They're basically saying "Hey, it's the same guys you've been dealing with, just they've got different management and access to new toys.  Here's the new toys, which are (yeah) a disconnected bunch, but all fun stuff if it happens to be the thing you needed that they couldn't do before."
