P.S.  (I assume, like ships of the fleet, we use the female pronoun, but I admit doubt.)

And chocolate cake!

More seriously, I'd like to thank the Forge for being present over the past year or so, and even earlier, 'cause it's been a really wonderful and inviting place for game design.  Without it, I don't think Fastlane would've been created, and I know for sure that Snowball wouldn't have been created (and even if it had been, it wouldn't have made it into an rpg anthology).  Not to mention the other games I've been tinkering with while waiting for Fastlane to be printed, and (possibly) my own Forge forum.

And without The Forge, I don't think indie-netgaming would've been founded, and as that's how I eventually talked myself into registering, I would not have been exposed to most of the games I bought in the last year.  Or had so much fun at GenCon '03, at the Forge booth.

So, happy birthday, and may you have many more.

Hippy pappy thuthdy bthuthda, or however he spelled it.

Seriously, though, ice cream and cake?  When did everyone get so sweet and proper around here?  Next it's going to be tea and little cucumber sandwiches with the crusts cut off.  Myself, I'm working on beer and the odd shot as a chaser.  If you eat too much, it just takes up space that could be properly used for alcohol, you know?

Whoah!  The Forge is now officially a she!  Somehow that changes things in my mind!  Considering how much time I've spent here lately perhaps I shouldn't tell my girlfriend

Before the forum closes, just wanted to add my wishes:

Happy Birthday Forge!
Thanks so much, Ron & Clint, & Mike and everyone who writes and reads and discusses.
