I made the first draft for a new troll spawn for Weyrth.

I think i need to develop them a bit more, maybe by doing a "Story"-first style like they do in the OBAM, maybe you can help me with this?

anyway please give me some ideas.
Kind regards....

well hey, I really like these Thickskins. I really think the idea of a rhinocerous-like trollspawn is cool.
My only suggestion would be to up the Agility just a bit. Even though they are slow, 1 is a really low attribute. Too low, IMO. other than that, though, I think they are cool.

Yes, AG1 is pretty extreme, 2 is just more realistic.
I'm not trying to create a new Super-Spawn who can kill all players, so i like to know if you think they are "balanced", which means that they equal a Gol, right now my problem is that i think they are to tough..

Glad that you answered, maybe you can inspire me to fill out the whole 2 pages of the file.

I still open for some cool name instead of Thickskins
Kind regards....

I like em!  The firs thing that sprung into my mind was a vison of two of them  duking it out unarmed for the leadership of their tribe, with the winning cutting off the loser's horn and forcing him to live in shame the rest of his days.....

Definately...how can you have rhino-men and not have them use their horns as a weapon?  I know if I had a huge horn on my face I'd be goring people left and right!

Heh, I remember that picture from years and years ago, in one of those old Fighting Fantasy gamebooks. Nice.

YMMV, but I found when I was doing much of OBAM that it was easier to write the story first, and then develop the creature from that (or at least inspired by it). That's easier than trying to tailor a story later (if you want one at all) and things tend to come out that are more logically consistent, rather than just throwing together ideas and stats that can sometimes not quite work together (I'm not suggesting that this has happened in your case, just a general observation).

I like that it's essentially another animal headed human(oid). Purely because of my own personal theories about trollspawn and their origin (which Jake disagrees with, but that's ok) :-)

Thanks Brian!! anyway, you are right about the pictures origin, i was going through some old books from my attic and found it.

anyway the picture just did start my imagination, and why let it be lost?

Im still hoping someone would make a small story for me hehe!

anyway can't people review there stats? i have given them TO8 maybe this is a bit to high hehe.

Horn attack? what damage? ATN?

What i like about these Trollspawn is that they not are tall and "gol" like copies. instead they are kinda squat AND ofcouse tough!
Anyway i also think the sound land needed a specific trollspawn, as the northlands has Gols, anyway this is just a one-shot project, im not thinking of doing a long list of new spawns, i think those already in OBAM fits my needs already.
But i would really like to give my "creature" some more "flesh to the bone" if you know what i mean.

What about the name? people like it?
Kind regards....
