Hey all I am looking to find out any information as to any winter con in the mid atlantic area (VA, DC, MY, and possible NC)  I live in Virginia and was hoping (its a BIG hoperight now!) to hit a few local and regional things to run a few demos of  Dice Chucker this winter.  Any info would be great!

I know that Dan "Tigger" Brace runs a convention in or around Virginia every year; I've not been to it, but he runs UNY-con in Rochester, which is a good convention, as well as the Milwaukee GameFest. I'm not sure of the name of the Virginia one, but it might also be a GameFest convention.

You might be able to find out more by contacting Dan through the UNY-con site, which is up and running as they're close to show date.

I'll be at Secaucus' Ubercon IV next weekend, but that's probably a bit too far north for your parameters.

I would love to hit MACE but I do not think that will work out. It is a little too soon I am afraid.  My wife and I are expecting our first child, and she does not travel well. Thanks for the info though!

Marscon is in Williamsburg, Va. Takes place at the end of January.

It's smallish and but pretty well run. Has an excellent con-suite.

Pictures are apart of the plan for our new website that will hopefully be launched soon, as our current one is sorrowfully in need of a labotomy.  :)

Things to Do in Herndon When You're Dead

TCEP is a quiet little one-room con that happens in the Herndon/Reston area of Virginia (that's in the western suburbs of DC, if you don't know the towns).  I have gone to several, and they've always been a lot of fun.

The "dealers" have a combination booth/game table; the dealer sits at a game table in front of his merchandise, and runs his games.  If you like the game, you pay your money and he reaches behind him to get you one.  Dealers who aren't interested in playing probably shouldn't come; this isn't a con you'll make a lot of money on.   The last one I went to (number nine) had two dealers; one guy from Steve Jackson, and another guy from a local game store.
