Daedalus is back for a special supers issue this spring.

Jared Sorensen has stepped up to the plate with Dark Pages, a fully playable RPG of supers and supernatural horror.

Step up to the plate with your contribution! I'm looking for articles on superhero-based role-playing, new games, supplemental material, and other useful and insightful articles.

I do not want promotional or marketing material, nor sneak peeks for existing or up and coming games.

We will charge a fee for this issue, which means we want to also pay small fees to contributors. It remains an experiment at this point, because we can't really predict circulation based on our free numbers. So, we don't know how much revenue that we can chop up among writers and artists. Keep that in mind. But, I have hopes it'll be enough bread to buy a new indie rpg at least!

Send me a private message or an email: matt -at- chimera.info

Let me know what kind of contribution you have in mind, or even a sample. Then, I'll let you know if it's what I'm looking for in the zine.

'Nuff said.

why no sneak peaks?  I thought those worked pretty well in previous issues.  Just curious.

Matt, of course, forgot to mention there will be two complete RPGs in the magazine. "The Face of Angels," a complete RPG by yours truly, and my first card-based design, will be in Daedalus.

Could you arrange a pre-pay scheme for it?  Then you'd have at least a base-line figure.  Maybe that would be useful for paying contributors?

They worked fine, previously. It's just not what I want to do. I don't want Daedalus to be a marketing vehicle, I want it to be a workshop. If it gets good word out while "doing" something, that's fine. But, just getting word out I'm less interested in.

Daedalus will have two superhero games in it's next issue!!!?? "You had me at 'Darkpages...'"

How much will that cost again? And when is it ready to be released?

It's looking like we won't publish until around April 15. The cost will likely be something around $5, but that remains undecided. (So, you've been warned!)
