What is the ultimate symbol of power for a Super?

His cape, of course!

I plan on taking some red velour and making a small (3' long or so, suitable for use while sitting down) cape to pass around, to indicate who started the scene.  It might slow the game down a little, because handling the cape will take longer than handling, say, a rock... but my players will appreciate the symbolism.

The marker for whose turn it is needs to move more quickly, so it needs to be on the table.  I'm still thinking about how that will be handled.

This is completely unnecessary... but I like it. Capes gets a good amount of its appeal from props on the table. And it can't hurt to have one less thing to keep track of.

If I did this, I'd put it on a stick with a base, and make it sort of like a battle standard. (Preferrably hanging from the "shoulder" points.)
