Greetings,

Is there a rule set for CCGs that is open (for other publisher to use, similar to the OGL)?

Thanks!

It doesn't have a fully formed license, but the intent is to allow it to be open for free development.

QuoteWe do require that you link back to terality.net from whatever method you distribute your game, and that you DO NOT SELL OR MAKE A PROFIT OFF OF YOUR GAME using all or part of the Terality ruleset.

Ouch.
Found in the FAQ. That would need a change before being applicable. (emphasis theirs)

Hi there,

I'm the creator of Terality.

We've not launched the game yet, but will be on August 5h.

In regard to the engine, what came out of the FAQ is in fact accurate. If you are using the engine for a personal project, you may do so - provided no profit is made off of the project. We are very willing to license the engine for profit evdeavours, but you will need to contact me directly in regards to what you wish to use it for, and prices. I will also note that we are not looking to make much (if any) money off of Terality - we're trying to create a new breed of community right now - the only reason for charging is to make back some of the $800+, time, and effort invested in the project thus far.

Another thing to note in regards to the Terality ruleset, is that you are free to develop a game using it and license it once you feel that you are completely comfortable using the said rules for your game.

Sorry for hi-jacking your thread, but I do like to keep things clear in regard to my game. :)

Perhaps Terality should have its own thread?

I have a few questions and suggestions.

I'd be glad to, what is the appropriate forum here? I only happened to notice this thread in our referrers list, and wanted to make sure things were clear. :)

Since it's not yet finished, possibly Indie Game Design?  If not, then Publishing.

The game itself is actually finished, it is only the online program and some minor tweaks to fix before release. I'll make a post in Publishing in a little while.

That said, sorry for abusing this thread. I unfortunately do not know any other Open CCG rulesets.
