Glory award for simple contest vs. NPC?

Hey everyone, have a quick question about Agon here.  Next adventure, my players are going to be involved in a series of contests with some semi-friendly NPC's (they're going to be participating in the Olympic games that a city of stranded greeks is holding).  How much glory will a PC get for beating an NPC at a roll?

I could see this going one of three ways:

Any pc that beats the npc gets 1 glory.

Any pc that beats the npc gets 1 glory, the pc that rolls highest gets bonus glory equal to the strife spent creating the npc.

Any pc that beats the npc gets 1 glory, and the pc that rolls highest gets bonus glory based off comparing the npc's dice to the dice listed on the strife cost/glory awards table, fudging it since NPC's rolls won't match the table exactly.

What does everyone think?

Hi Eric,

Thanks for the question! I love rules questions.

The way I play is your third option (compare NPC dice to the Strife cost/glory awards table, fudging as needed).
