I've only skimmed it but...
The world ended on a Saturday and the rejects of Roswell High were attending their Saturday Detention.
It is Breakfast Club meets Six-String Samurai.
At 1:33 the teacher decides, eff this, let's go see what is going on out in what's left of the world.
At least he's the young, cool teacher, must've pissed someone off to have drawn the gig as Saturday Detention Monitor. Mr. Farnell is as much of a reject as the rest of ya.
He has you all sign Permission Slips; you believe this guy?
The grey half-alien kid with the big black eyes and the Iron Maiden patch on his back wipes his butt with the slip and hands it to Farnell all grinning. Teacher puts it on his clipboard and puts a check next to the druggie's name.
"Okay, file out the door in an orderly fashion, let's go see what this joint has in the way of a bus..."
None of us has to ask where we're going...Area 51 won't know what hit it.

Very "Night of the Comet" (kinda) -- I like it. :) It would be a cool way to introduce people to the game and kick off a story...
