[Donjon] Permanent possessions at character creation?

I'm sure I read somewhere in the book that you don't start with any; one friend says you start with one weapon -or- armor, plus a miscellanous, and another says you start with one of each.

Which is it? And, more importantly, where the heck is the relevant passage? (either standard or screen-format pdf page number)

In the screen-formatted PDF, it's on page 22, under Permanent Possessions. It says at Level 1, you start with 1 weapon, 1 piece of armor, and 1 other item. In the print version, it's page 24.

IIRC, Level 1 characters start with three permanent possession slots -- one weapon, one armor, one other.  They still need to purchase/find those items in game.
