So, one week into June, how long until we see a pdf and hard-copy versions of OBAM?

I'm eager to get my campaign started, but I'm hesitant to start without the creature combat rules.

And for those of us whose submissions made it in, will we be seeing our copies and other swag around the same time?

It would be painful to see it in stores and have to restrain myself because the free copy hadn't come, yet.

I've been holding back because we're still trying to work something out, but the fact is that the money isn't coming in, so we have a finished book sitting in my hard drive. If I give up on running a real print run (and I'm getting there), then we'll be seeing the PDF soon. You'll have the PDF at least this month. That's all I can promise. The rest I'm working on.

Would the funding from PDF sales help? I am willing to buy a PDF and a Hard Copy.

Could you take pre-orders to get enough $$ together?  A kind of "reserve your copy now" thing.  Then if you got enough $$ together for the printing you could print up the books.  If not you could return the $$.  I'd be willing to pay ahead of time to get a hard copy.

I would, as well. My plan was to buy the pdf so I can get my campaign started, then pick up the hard copy when it comes out because pdf 'books' wear out quickly.

Besides, nothing beats a nicely bound book.

But its info I need at the moment.

Forget my whining about comp copies, then.  I'm willing to pay upfront if it means the difference between getting the hardcopy in my little hands and not.  PDFs are nice and all, but there's just something to be said about the real thing.

Putting my vote in for some sort of pre-order scheme

Count me in for both too!  How can I get money to you? The local game store is being remarkably unhelpful about getting hardcopies of Driftwood products.

Have you talked to RPGNow.com about selling PDFs?

Just in case this is turning into an un-official poll, I also would be willing to "pre-order" a copy to help get your work published.  I really like what you've done so far, and I can't wait to see how you're going to flesh it out.

This is great stuff, and I want it to catch on, but to do that it's got to gain visibility.  Who knows, it could be that if you put out the specifics of what it would take to get it published, some nice investor type might come along and make it happen.  Hey, I can dream, can't I?

Good luck in any case, and keep the faith...

I just want to jump on the "Will pre-order with cold, hard $$$ to see this book printed" bandwagon.

Even though I usually really dislike buying stuff before I have a chance to browse, I'll pre-order too if it will help to get the book in print.

Looks like you have some support on this. I am also willing to pre-order, I think we are all really hoping this helps.

I'll do my best to furnish you all with print copies. Give me some time and we'll see what I can do. Regardless of print or not, the material will be available soon.

Are the sales of the core TROS book not the best? I know that publishing books aren't cheap but I would have hoped that enough people bought the core book to pay for the supplements to come out as well. But then again I have no idea about pricing or costs so I might just be sticking my foot in my mouth.

Sales are actually pretty good, I'm just not getting paid. It's a blanket problem in the industry right now. It's really direct sales that are keeping us afloat as we wait for our real money.
