TROS got released about a week or two early, it seems, and is allready in stores. From what I hear, it's doing very well. For those of you that haven't gotten yours yet, go and get it!

Excellent. I'll have to thumb through the revised vers. and see if there's any merit in buying another copy, as I've already got most of the important errata and changes printed out. I probably will, though.

So you gonna be hittin' Hexcon to push the game? I've already been making plans for a ride for at least Friday and Saturday.

Huh, huh, uh...

Hexacon...

It's like this. I thought I was going, but then realized that it wasn't cost effective to go. Then Bob, the Imperial Outpost manager, emails me and says that they're flying me down and putting me in a hotel. "Cool."

Then, Bob gets called away to Florida and doesn't manage to put anyone else on the case, so my ticket is never arranged, and I don't get to go...

So no, I'm not going to Hexacon. On the other hand, the owner of I.O. felt really bad and still wants to bring me out for a series of demos or equivalent, so I'll still probably be visiting pheonix, I just don't know when.

Just thought I'd mention that TROS has reached UK shops too, which means I finally have a copy :) From what I've read so far, I'm liking it a lot.

That's wonderful! Remember, if TROS is in a store that isn't on my "the best" list of retailers carrying the game, send me their address, phone, and web info, and I'll update my page.

I got my copy of TROS from the Dream Wizards in Rockville, MD. They are the largest and best known RPG shop in the MD DC area. The had two copies of TROS (one now :)

Dream Wizards
11772 Parklawn Drive
Rockville, MD 20852

301-881-3530

Obviously, being in the DC area, this shop services a very large area. And they tend to carry lesser known games (they even carry Hârn stuff). Good shop.

Any idea where in the UK I can pick it up from?

Well, I got my copy from the excellent Wayland's Forge, in Birmingham. But as it's carried by a major distributor (Esdevium? Correct me if I'm wrong here Jake), most FLGS should be able to order it in.

That's right. From what I hear, lots of UK stores have it. Most of them, even. All thanks to Esdivium, which has been one of our biggest supporters and has re-ordered twice allready.

You can order it off the webpage (http://www.theriddleofsteel.com); they have check/money order etc options and also PayPal.

If for some reason you can't get the webpage to work, try emailing Jake (norwood@theriddleofsteel.com). I'm sure he'll fix you up real quick.

Actually our online availability is kinda "off" right now, as I'm trying to jump-start things in stores. Please please please go to your FLGS and ask for it by name, using the ordering info on our page at http://www.theriddleofsteel.com/market/ to make it that much easier for them. If the game is going to grow then it needs to be through the retailers. Yes, it will be available online later. Yes, if they refuse to order it then email me and we'll get you one. I want you to have it, first and foremost.

Feel free to print the info on the market page for your FLGS.

Thanks guys,

Ordered it from Leisure Games in the end - seems there's quite a bit of re-ordering going on in the UK!

Hi,

just to let you know that it's available in France as well (at least one of the three big Paris'store).

I don't know if France is a good target market, but hey, I will be able to get it.

My local gaming store got it in less than a week after I mentioned it.

The owner looked at me funny when I mentioned that the copy I was buying would be my third.

"But, it's got a new sorcery section and revised maneuvers"

Looks good, though there are still a few typos.  Those are mostly forgiven, though, because the appendix is much more readable :)
